Job Description : We are currently recruiting for a leading Agrochemical Company based in Bishop Burton the ideal candidate will have experience previously in field trials and handling of pesticides and spray equipment.

To conduct confidential scientific studies and appraisals of agrochemicals and other agricultural inputs, assessing and recording their effects and producing written reports which accurately reflect the findings, within defined technical and quality guidelines and operating procedures

Study conduct
Take all necessary steps to ensure that the critical phases (site location, applications, assessments and / or samplings) of allocated studies / trials are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the study plan, and appropriate regulatory standards (GLP / official recognition) and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Ensure that pre-agreed levels of technical consistency are achieved

Planning and control
Monitor own performance in connection with allocated studies / trials, and maintain daily contact / assist other staff within the team, to ensure that specific study phases and the overall output of the team are carried out in accordance with time parameters specified by the designated supervisor. Observe the planning and control processes operated within the team (including attendance at regular planning meetings)

Preparation of study-related documents
Assist the designated supervisor in writing study / field plans, checking raw data and statistical results, production of final reports and preparation of raw data for archiving, and writing / reviewing relevant SOPs, within agreed schedules

Regulatory compliance
Take necessary steps to ensure regulatory compliance (GLP / official recognition) is achieved / maintained within allocated studies / trials in accordance with the business's policies and procedures. Record all observations, information and results pertaining to allocated studies, as required by the study plan, utilising the correct forms in accordance with the company's SOPs. Record / report immediately any deviations from the study plan, or other factors which might adversely affect the results to the designated study supervisor

Revenue generation / cost control
Monitor own and team activities with the aim of maximising effectiveness, and contributing measurably towards the financial performance of the team. Take active steps to maximise the efficiency of equipment, machinery and consumable items used in the conduct of studies, with the aim of contributing measurably towards cost control within the team

Qualifications and Attributes

Education / qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant life sciences subject

Additional technical / vocational recognition
Safe handling of pesticides / use of spray equipment (e.g NPTC PA1 and PA6)
Full current driving licence
Ideally possessing BASIS Certificate in Crop Protection

Able to work o
